Sprout & Stomp is a toddler activity site built around play-based learning — the idea that at this age, play is not a break from learning but the mechanism of it.

Skills, not just activities

What separates our guides from a list of ideas is that each activity is tied to what it develops. Fine motor control, early language, problem solving, patience. Threading pasta onto string is not busywork; it is pincer grip practice. Knowing what an activity is for makes it much easier to choose the right one for the stage your child is at.

Built for real days

Activities are organised by age and stage, by season, and by circumstance — indoor, rainy day, ten minutes before dinner. We publish printables and checklists, routines and schedules that survive contact with an actual toddler, and troubleshooting for the phases that derail everything: the refusals, the regressions, the week where nothing holds attention for longer than ninety seconds.
